So after my rebuild I still odnt have any oil pressure. For those of you that have done a rebuild how did you prime that oil pump? I think I might have some trapped air in my pump...

I have heard to pack it with vasoline, but I have never done it. I don't know what the "official" procedure is.

yeah you can use some assembly lube in it doesn't start dry, and gets the required suction..-Brad
98 Firebird - gone from mod mode to keep it running and useable mode.

what i do on big block's adn small blocks is my dad has a distributor that is modified so you can put a drill on the top of it and spin the pump until the oil is running out of all the passages(you know it is when its coming out of the rockers or tips of the pushrods)...then its pre-oiled...

The block w/ distrubators are different. There isnt a place to do that on my block. It sits right behind the front cover. Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...1 week ago
