• What are the cam specs on a stoke 3.8 cam?

Just curious to see how much we would gain on going with a mild high pro cam fro N/A purposes.

You can't stroke the 3.8, just get a good L36 cam from a preformance site. Grand prix sites seem to know their stuff, since they have the fastests L36's.....www.intense-racing.com....www.zzppreformance.com

Its pretty pointless to stroke the 3.8, and currently since nobody has done it - its damn near impossible. I agree with you on this about the grand prix sites, they seem to carry a lot more hard core stuff for us than most others.

Ok, I give up, I cannot spell. I meant stock not stoke, sorry for the confusion. What are the stock cam specs on a 3.8 and what kind of cam should be used to see if any at all increase in N/A form with changeing springs, retainers, or rockers. Something also that would be computer friendly so nothing too radical.

The Comp 206/212 113LS grind is a great upgrade on stock internals and such. Changing the springs is recommended. Min saw 212 rwhp just by swapping cams on his 00 V6 bird with this cam

                    Stock specs are 182/190 0.413/0.408 115LS

Ok so will that cam Dom give me a nice lopey idle and I trust it gets rid of that dreaded raspyness up high. I don't want anything too too radical that my car wont idle for anything. By the way, in refrence to cam specs, what gives the idle and the rest of the rpm range that lopey exhaust note?

That's incorrect. He also had his heads and intakes ported/polished. Don't even bother telling me I'm wrong, because I talk to him daily, and we've discussed it MANY times.
