i'm in the process of disabling the emissions controls on my car. i have a 2002 L36. I can't just remove the items, because we DO have visual road side inspections here, so it must look like the systems are fully operational.
any ideas on how to bypass the evap emissions canister purge solenoid valve?
it's plastic, and is located right after the TB, on the upper intake manifold, beside the fuel rail disconnects. if you look at your engine bay you'll see 3 flexible fuel lines. two go to the fuel rail, the other goes to this valve.
one problem is i dunno how that purge valve actually works. I'M ASSUMING it purges when it reaches a certain pressure. anyone else know for sure?
if the above is the case, then i could just block off the valve at the upper intake, and install another purge valve somewhere hidden (at gas tank) which would just vent the fumes to ambient air.
thoughts?
