4.6 liter V6

[97 30th RS]

I was reading around and I stumbled across a stroker crank from Duttweiler that will increase displacement to 4.6 liters with a .30 overbore. The block would require some notching and possible new main caps though. What do you guys think? [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img] Oh yeah, it costs around 700 bux

i was just thinkin, wouldnt a crank atleast fit in our engines? i mean its gotta be the same, i know the intake and heads are diff, but i figure internals ahve to be the same????

the old 3.8s, in the late 70's/early 80's were bored to 4.1L, but it really didn't work out.

Not sure how much room is in there, haven't checked myself. But, Scat will grind you whatever size crank you want. Its a possibility you could step all the way to 4.6L.

Find out some more about it. Can you put some kind of link on here? I'd love to see it as more

whoa thatd be amazing lol a gt guy come up and ask you what you got and expect " v8 " and you just say 4.6l and he starts talkin about how you did a gt 4.6 swap and you stop him mid convo and say no nono v6 4.6L and they just get pissed and walk off

Imagine him losing to another 4.6L...oh but you're missing two cylinders! How cool is a Mustang GT that can't keep up with Chevy's performance V6...then put them in their place and say.."this is the V6, just imagine how fast the Z28 is???" and let them ponder and weep.
