Hey i just ordered a crane cam powermax
they says it adds 10% throughout the range to 5,000rpm so is this good for about how much horse on a 3.4 i payed 185 shipped
My new ride 2000 camaro, No mods yet still waiting for warranty to run out then all out heads, cam, and supercharger
If its a true 10% that would be about 16 hp considering your car is completey stock. If you have other mods it could be more could be less. Who knows if it really is a true 10%. Let us know how you like it.
You'll see when its on. never listen to what an add says. I have seen adds for underdrive pulleys in honda magazines adding up to 40HP, what is that on a typical 120ish HP motor 30% increase with some pulleys?
i sincerly doubt it adds that much. only because adds are like my ex-wives - liars. good luck though. are you putting it in yourself or how much is the install going to cost you? thats a good price for a cam, but price for installation of mine was a killer.
6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.
Yeah well considering my rear main is leaking oil pan gasket is leaking and valve covers are leaking i need a gasket change so i'm having the engine remanufactured while they do this there porting and polioshing my heads with a three angle valve and my cam. Total price after labor and parts $1900 i need 900 more to get this done. Two jobs sucks but in a month or so it will be worth it'

I bought the compucam 240 and put it in myself. yea, im mechanically inclined, but it wasnt hard. and i think a cam for the 3.4 is crap. it might just be the cam i bought. the people at paw said this is the best cam to run for racing applications. it has... .390 lift 244 advertised duration and 108 lobe separation and 196 duration at .050. Maybe they lied.
So what were the improvements alleceration anything notciable um myour supposed to press cams in not lay them in hmmm that could be part of the problem
