Okay, I looked in the mod. reviews and such and all over this site but I hanvet came across anything that tells about which cam is good for a n/a. I am looking for a cam that will work perfectly with a n/a. Also I would like to hear from people with a cam about their gains in tqq and hp.
keep lift below .510 in. intake and exhaust w/ stock heads, below 215* duration because of displacement limitations, 113 LS for midrange power, and 110 IC for more of a peak in power.

Thats the cam I have. Unfortunately I do get the P0300 SES light some. But the N/A power is great.

P0300 what is that code? I tried to find it but cannot find it on this site. :(
Also what other mods do you have? and are you running stock internals besides the cam? also how much of a gain have you noticed?

the P0300 reads the engine's rough idle as misfires, and reduces spark advance accordingly. the cam I just described is a cross between the VS and GT cam's on www.zzperformance.com. 110 ls is too small in my opinion for a street car, making max power too high up in the powerband. 115 ls is a good upgrade, but doesn't make as much power as it could. both of these cams make around the same peak power, so I figured i'd pick a cam w/ a LS that's in between 110 and 115. the GT cam has more lift, and the Vs cam has more duration, so I figured i'd combine the 2 attributes together. I've heard people running cam's w/ too much duration lose air velocity into the cylinders, and lose power. also, people running big lifts on stock heads make less power because the velocity is slowed there also, so i believe that this cam that I came up w/ is just barely pushing the limits of our stock heads and will make for a good power gain.

We upped the LSA from 111 to 112 to try and help with the misfire problems. Most GP owners don't have the problem but I think it might be because of the longer runners on those.
naptown - rocker bolts, timing chain, and gaskets.
Valve springs and stuff really depends on the cam you choose. If you go over .510 total lift you will need to upgrade valve springs.
Arctc Wolf - The GT cam I have is 111 ls and it lopes like a mo-fo. Before I changed injectors I was fairly certain I would pass NC emissions w/o a cat. But Cali is tougher, so Zoomer may have to answer that one.

I jsut searched Comp Cams. they say on their 2003 catalog for the 3800 GM enging you must replace valve springs for the GT CAM that seppo gave a link for.
hmmm... Well people are running .50(something) lift on the stock springs.(camaro_zach and someone else). I switched to stock LS1 springs for added insurance.
