I'm definately keeping my soft V6 springs/shocks in front. In the rear I've had WS6 take-off shocks for the longest time.

I know a guy with a 1le WS6 who runs v6 rear springs..
He auto-x's and every time i have seen him, he has recived FTD.. so.. he is pretty good..
according to him softer v6 keeps the rear planted better then the v8 springs.
There are probably better options out there.. but for his class its the only way he could get softer rear springs..
go figure..

Today with Zach's help we removed the fuel return line and vac line that go all the way from the engine to the tank. I also dropped the stock tank and removed the charcoal canister the older style 3.8's have which is located in the driver side rear wheel well above a plastic flap.
Thanks once again Zach, I still owe you 3$ and 2 fistfulls of fries in your face.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

I might be joining you magnus. I've had my 2000 firebird for about a month and I'm seriously thinking about swapping in a v8 before i go to school in the fall. A friend of mine is getting rid of an ls1 w/ trans and ecm and almost everything i need for the swap (30k miles on motor)for 1200 bucks.I don't think I can pass this up, screw my warranty.
What do you think? swap or keep my warranty?2000 Firebird 3.8, auto, flowmaster 80, taillight blackouts, 02 formula swaybars, poly endlinks and energy support bushings, 1 1/2in cut springs

I have to agree with you on that one. I heard an LS1 with aftermarket exhaust and later a mustang on the street the other day and compared the sound to my exhaust (ofcourse I still haven't heard mine from outside) and: :(1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,

is there any way possible to use the original tranny when doing a V8 swap? Can you just change out the bellhousings between the 2?White 1998 Firebird M5, Suncoast WS6 hood, Chrome 18\" C5\'s, beaver tail wing, 2 15\" Kicker Comp VR\'s, ect.

on the 98+ it MIGHT be possible.. but I think it'd be much easier just to use an LS1 tranny connected to the engine.
On the 97 and earlier models the bellhousing is part of the tranny, no way to remove.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

not to mention.. the camaro version of the t5 probably wont last all that long on a mildly modded ls1..

I'm pretty sure they were talking about the 4L60E AT, not the T5. The T5 would blow up with a stock LS1.---
-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro
