• Got the car running..

Wiring is a MAJOR PITA.. i have wires all over the place.. but PCM gets power and so do the injectors/coils.

First day I took it out it was very powerful.. but when I punched it from a stop I'd only spin halfway into first and it shifted hard as hell.. like it had a shift kit.

Then I found out on sunday my MAF wasn't getting power, I powerd that up.. and now I spin into second and the car shifts normally.

WOW.. what a beast.

ANd I'm running open y-pipe, it sounds DAMMMMN good.

Best mod ever.

• Man still give you props keith...that looked VERY complicated! Glad i could lend a small hand.

Car sounds mean as hell one block away when you punched it!, might wanna reconsider the whole header and x-pipe thing :D

Cars going to be a REAL sleeper! Congrats! Let me know if you need another hand one day.

• I gotta see pics.

Maybe I missed it, but did you have to do any body modifications to the front clip? What about the hood?

• WOW! way to go amigo!!! I figured out the ls-body wireup thanks to your pinouts, but the ignition is tough...good hints though!!!
Did you need to use the starter wire from the 6...?
Man that's gotta feel cool!

• I just crimped a thick wire to make the LS1 starter wire long enough.

I have crimped wires EVERYWHERE... I need to get a pic of it. How's yours look?

• since there's better software and scan tools for a LS1 out there, can a some one like me with a v6 use a v8 PCM? If there was a way to fix the fireing order or soemthing on the PCM then it shouldnt have any problems, and we'd be able to tune the pcm better. What kind of complications could this cause though?

• I just have the 2 harness engine harness hooked up to the ls harness with a few splices.Left the bonus connector and udat fatty just in case I upgrade to 99 cluster.
blue/white/black are left but I thought about splicing the starter in to the ls. Looks like the pcm will fire the starter if rigged right but am not sure.
You should be ok ignoreing the TCC wire- my pcm has traction control deleted anyway, I THINK that's what it is.
So about double the power..bwahahahaha

Comment

• The only wire I had left on the bonus connector was the coolant level .. so I just moved that over to an empty space on one of the other connectors and no more bonus connector.

Power is unreal!

• I'm waiting for the write up myself. Gonna do the same thing he did to my 2001 except with a T56 6 speed tranny. Hopefully by winter I should have all of my parts together.
