First go out and pick up a chiltons manual. Then get the intake gasket set from a parts store. Follow the directions in the chiltons and you should be fine.

basically turn the engine over till a perticular valve is completely closed, tighten till zero lash plus 90 degrees. go to the next valve.

I've got my haynes manual somewhere, gotta dig it up. Also, the car seems to stutter at around 3-3500 rpm, and like i say the ticking sound is pretty bad, except i cant hear it at idle, even ith a pieceof hose, so its kind of hard to tell, could it be anything else that is making that horrible ticking noise? lik eit only happens under accelleration, not crusing. The car seems to be suffering from lack of power, as it now takes me longer to beat my girlfriends stock 94 V6 mustang from a roll...

UPDATE: hmmm, i think that there may be a possibility of me having an exhaust manifold leak, would that explain the RPM stutter at higher speed? what do yall think?
