ok.. i have a problem going on with my car..its either something having to do with the fuel system, or ignition. when i hit the gas, my engine shakes as if its not getting enough fuel, or as if its misfireing. but when i slowly mash the pedal..little bit at a time..it doesnt bog or anything throughout the RPM range. but if i just slightly push on it a little harder, it feels like im a 2 banger. any ideas on what this is? it JUST happened, out of nowhere.. and for some reason, i got the SES light, but after a little bit of driving it went away. HELP PLEASE!! i had to turn down a race to a civic today...pretty sad

Plugs and wires? You guys should start doing the obvious things first. I see some many posts of this nature. Fuel filter is a cheap guess too.

ya..last time ihad this problem, it was on my 97 firebird, i changed the spark plugs, wires AND coilpacks..all the ignition..and it still did it.. theni replaced the fuel filter, still did it..

i did all that work on that thing just to find out that it was the transmission that was slipping.. but that was an a4. i have an m5 on my camaro

Cat, or the same problem on an older F-bod (2.8) was the TPS. Went wacky on me. Replaced it and it mostly fixed it. Cat was clogged too.
