Just dynoed the car and the A/F was running right at 14.3 to 14.8. What is causing this, and what can I do to fix this problem? The PCM was tuned by TSP using HP tuners. We have seen a decrease in milage over the past 3 months. We are now getting 40-50 miles less on a full tank of gas.
Thanks for any help.

send you pcm back to tsp with a printout of your a/f...they should be able to retune it free to get your wot a/f straitened out.

and jsut for the record, this is why you dont just "trust" mail order tunes.. not that TSP did anything wrong it could be an issue with the car.. you never know..
all i am saying is that you need to take your car to a dyno with a wideband if you get a mail order tune.. just to be safe..

Thats the only thing huh? Well thats good. I was worried that someing might be bad with the injectors, or fuel pump, or filter or whatever else I didnt think of.

I would be inclined to put $20 wager against any of you that say it's the tune. Takers?
As I posted in the sponsor's section, it's 99.9% always something else. Even big bad LS1 guys we did tunes for would complain it was off, and sent the PCM back. Still off...hmm. Send it back, we richen it more. Still off. Then they head my advice and check the O2's and other maintanence items, and all of a sudden they are FRIGGIN rich, like 10:1!
Check all those, shoot me a IM if you need help with what to check. Because you mentioned a decrease in mileage over the last while, I would once again bet $20 to anyone that it is NOT the tune. TSP does WAY too many mail order tunes to have you running like that.
Billy, you should try trusting one of their tunes...you'd be amazed too!

I understand your point, however its the "first" thing to try.. heck of all i know the dyno has som crap wideband that hasent been serviced in ages.. or perhaps he has a huge exhaust leak.. god only knows..
but.. if i was in the same situation (which i never will be in) I would check the tune first..
Dunno, I cant say I trust TSP after they sent a stock bin to a friend in my car club, claming that it was the new tune for a H&C ls1.. its was pretty retarted.. fortunatly nothing bad happened.. but.. once he got a base tune from tsp we took it to a dyno and re did the whole thing.. the tsp tune wasent bad.. but it wasent anything to rave about..
and this was on a H&C package purchased though TSP as well..
dunno.. thats pretty much the point where i decided to start learning to do my own tuning..

A new fuel filter was put on back in December and thats about the time when the gas milage started going down. Hmmm
