  • factory ecu on 20 lb boost ?possible?

hi, i am doing up a 3.8 v6 turbo, from a vn commodore (australian).
i have most of it ready, but am still working out what to do with the ecu side of things.
the original ecu is a `808 with map.
is it possible to modify/swap etc.....to get a factory ecu to run with 20 lb of boost?
    any ideas?
    thanks.

I just put a turbo on my 3.8 camaro.

20psi is a ****load of boost. I only use 7psi.

Get some tuning software like HP tuners or DHP. I have DHP, and it is helping me.

I compensated for larger fuel injectors.
I am currently mounting the MAF sensor in front of the turbo, for a draw thru setup.
I also pulled a few degrees of timing.

SInce you have a MAP sensor, I think you need to get a 2 bar MAP upgrade and program the PCM for it. I don't know a whole lot about MAP stuff, since I have MAF.

these guys might know more than we do here.

they all work on grand prix's with 3800 v6s.

We have a MAP as well, it's just that the MAP is mostly used as a check to macke sure the MAF is reading properly.
