• Autotap gurus: Ignition and crank position sensor codes...

after completing my cam install, i've been getting a couple of recurrent codes. the car has been basically sluggish and only gets a maximum of around 5 degrees advance. i replaced the front O2 sensors (because it needed to be done anyway) and hoped i would get a few more degrees advance, but something is gumming up the whole works.

the first one is:
P0336 CKP SENSOR CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE

i think i fixed this one; the back of my ICM wiring harness was kind of ****ed up before i took a day to get it in good shape. i erased the code earlier today and after a good hour's worth of driving it hasn't returned.

the second:
P1351 IC OUTPUT HIGH/PULSE DETECTED

this one is associated with the ignition control module but i have no idea what it could mean, perhaps a poor ground?

and finally:
P1352 IC OUTPUT HIGH/PULSE DETECTED WHEN GND_CYL. 2

does "GND" refer to a ground? i've googled the **** out of all these codes and have nothing. i don't know how the ICM works but could it possibly mean that when firing cylinder 2, the ICM fails to ground itself out?

i still feel like all of this can be traced back to the connection at the back of the ICM.

(IE only)

Looks like the ICM could be bad?

super. this is the third ICM i've replaced.

thanks for your help.

the mf'ing bypass pin was the ONLY one that was seriously jacked. i'm guessing that it's not connecting properly and therefore unable to bypass control to the PCM. that would explain the low to no advance and low to no power.

do you have the URL of the rest of the service manual?
