I know I know by the title of this it would seem I would be doin myself a favor if I did a search but I did and I didn't see anything that actually talked about what I wanted to know, ready?

My friend is a total guru with electronics, you just don't know! he has built all kinds of weird things he's one of those guys that likes to read HEX coding and 0010100100001111000's. he is a very very bright fella... so anyway he said he can get me some software and a diagram on how to go to radio shack get a few parts and wiring and build yourself a custom harness that will communicate with your computer where you can make changes and watch your rpm's gas/air etc... I was tryin to call him tonight but couldn't get ahold him to see if he could drop it by. anyone got any ideas or if you want I can get ahold this, build it (i'm gonna build a computer into my car) and give you the info also... but anyone know of any websites that talk about this? I just thought people might want to know cause I'm sure its cheaper than buying an OBD2 scanner for $3k , got any info if not once I get it I will share

your post needs to be more specific. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what you are asking? Nobody that I know of has built such a thing in there 3.8. Alot of people use autotap that will do similiar things and is probly easier then trying to build it yourself. But if you insist on making such a thing you can search here and see if they know anything.
