  • L67 swap

I was wondering if anyone has ever done an L67 (GTP engine) swap with a V6 Firebird or Camaro. Before you say anything about LS1 or LT1 swaps, this is all personal preference. I would like to keep a V6 if I were to buy one. I have loved Firebirds for along time, and I am now on a mission to own any kind I can get my hands on. (Still kinda picky on what I buy.) Also, what kind of tranny does the V6 Fbody have?? Does it have a weaker tranny than a Z28 or a Formula?? Any info would be cool. Just wanting to plan this out. Might not happen for a while.

Stefan has L67 crank, rods, and pistions. The 2 problems w/ a full L67 are the SC pulley, and the intake would be facing the firewall.

All this info can be found in the tech database. I dunno about the auto, but the borg warner t-5 is weaker than the 6-speed that comes in the ls1 cars.

Autos are same in V6 as the V8s. They both got 4L60E.
