  • Those with knock sensor problems....

    I came across this...

seems like you might we would have to figure out more about our own knock sensors but this basic idea may work in desensitizing knock sensors.

    or....

Anyone thoguht of a knock sensor bypass switch? Track only mod?

Sure no one interested? it desensitizes the kncok sensor on an lt1, and track only bypass might not be a bad idea...

Same as this site pretty much. I just don't get how to put that resistor between the ground and the ECM. It seems that it would be easiest to do this down at the knock sensor but it would be nicer to do everything up near the ECM and maybe just run a wire down to the knock sensor which would be wrapped around it or something. I didn't have much luck trying to measure the resistance of my knock sensor the other day either, it wouldn't give me a reading.

I like the idea a lot, I just don't know what values to use.

It's tempting just to get an old set of sensors, ground them somewhere, and have a switch to go flip over to the dummy sensors at the track, then back to the real ones for on the street.
