    Can anybody please explain to me static and dynamic compressions. And the difference between the two?

    well.. I dont know exactly.. however static typicaly meens fixed.. dynamic meens variable/adjustable..

        static compression is chamber volume @ BDC/chamber volume @ TDC

        dynamic compression is different because the valves don't close at BDC so some air is lost during the upstroke. Dynamic compression will always be less than static compression.

          Is there any calculator or formula to tell how much compression will be lost with a particular engine configuration?
