• O2 sim question

Would O2 sims cause my car to run bad?? Bad as in hesitation, and stumbling. I know for a fact that my injector signal to the #1 and #3 cylinders are weaker than the rest. Would the sims have anything to do with it?? I just ordered another ECM, and it is going in with my engine and turbo, but this problem has been plauging me since last summer. I dont want to cook my engine for the 4th time once the turbo goes on again. Please put all your inputs in on this. You helping the future fastest V6 on the board once I build my new engine and pump over 20 PSI

The post cat o2 sensor is only there to tell the computer how well the cat is working. A o2 sim in it's place feeds back a signal that tells the computer that there is a cat there when there isn't. That sensor has nothing to do with how your car runs. If you have them on the sensors before the cat then yes, that would be a reason that your car doesn't run right. There is no reason why they should be put there unless your looking to burn up an engine because you could be running extremely lean and your computer couldn't devance the timing to save you from melting things.
