  • V-6 to LT1 Stroker

I'm researching putting a 383 Stroker LT1 into my 93 3.4 as my v-6 engine has seen better days. My question is, will any of the stock 93-97 ECM/PCM's be able to function properly with the change in displacement and the internals swap. Also, what year ecm/pcm will be compatible with my ODB-I dash wiring? Thanks in advance.

you will need LT1 wirign harness/PCM.

You may have to splice some connections for the dash and perhaps run new OBD-1 wiring to your dash port.

That part i had already assumed i would have to do, but I was under the impression that all 96 & later LT1's and ECM/PCM's were ODB-II which would involve rewiring of the dash and harness

or did you mean ODB II in your last post?

You could just wire your port manually for obd1 or obd2 compliance.

You'll need a gauge cluaster to match the engine anyway.
