Hey buddy i did a search on this forum, and ls1tech.com and i found people talking about an ls6 swap, but not solid info. I ask the question because before i spend a lot of money, I would like the exact other parts that i will need.
So for the tranny, all i need is a V-8 auto transmission. Magnus, does ETC. entail anything else? Thanks for all the support and information on this so informative board.
ok.. you searched.. i swear this has been answered numerous times... but what the hell.
Complete motor with all belt driven accessories and brackets
Transmission
PCM
engine harness
fuel pump
throttle cable
motor mounts
exhaust
MAF
transmission crossmember
LS1 steering rack
gauge cluster <-- for accurate tach
heater hoses (they differ)
PS feed line (3.8 is not compatable with)
NOW...
If you want evap, working TCS or ASR or maybe even ABS, working air bags, etc. etc. it will take MUCH more work.

Also the time, money and space to do all of this. Save your money, knuckles/stiches, oily floor, time, beer, pizza, and cursing and buy a car with all of that already installed.

oops! And extra parts lying around that you have no idea where they belong.

This is EXACTLY what i needed. Thank you very much for the detailed info. I did search for it and i couldn't find that info.
Now are these parts needed for just the LS6 or is it the same for the LS1. I thought the LS1 was a little more compatible then that. Thanks for all the help.

I want to be realistic. I just want to know if its will cost a lot more in extra parts(not the block and tranny) and labor to do a LS6 rather than a LS1.
I know this is going to cost a lot. I am just trying to keep everything under $7,500.
