They are more of an original replacement, and are more suited to most of our needas than the "R" lifters. The "R" lifters require the perfect install, the prefect preload setup, and are over-all just a PITA. You got your part numbers backwards.
850-12 is the OE series (High Energy), 875-12 is the OE R series (Pro Magnum).
I'm going with the 850s, so I don't have to deal with the PITA install.Matt
