  • I quit I am tired of this

I replaced all my exshuast from the motor back with stock setup. I replaced all gaskets on car I replaced all lifters and redid rocker arms. And have listened everywhere for leak and I still cant find this Tick I its constant at idel u can hear from Drivers seat. And its speed and noise increases with RPMs I am so tired of this piece of crap car Right now i would sell it for a bumper off a 82 honda and feel it was a even trade.

EGR leak? That's where mine is. Even with the little plate tightened down, that steel flex-hose needs to sit in the manifold perfectly to seal well, it can't be forced in there.

              Listen to this...
At the end, when I rev it you can hear it... does it sound like that?

The motor only has 4500 miles everything is new on it pistons and everything Build buy a respectable engine rebuilder in town The heads are old but have been reworked by machine shop. I dont think it would be injector tick cause it is real loud. i can hear it over exshust and radio.

connecting rod, camshaft, or crankshaft bearing maybe??? maybe the engine didnt break in right. i dunno. maybe something to do with your flywheel or something. put a piece of wood to the side of the block and but it up to your ear. you should be able to tell if its a certain piston or whatnot.

ummmm, maybe its your plug wires being cracked and arking somewhere.

EVAP system? Sometimes that plastic tubing with the pressure test port in it can make a ticking noise real loud.

That sucks.. I have no idea you've checked everything I can think of that might cause a tick, with the exception of going into the block...
