Going N/A, look into the GT2 cam from zzperformance.com. While your at it, replace the springs, retainers, seals, and pushrods. You have enough $$ for it, and don't want to create a weak link. And the GT2 cam sounds mean as hell (98camaro has a vid floating around if you want to hear).

          www.intense-racing.com

Best cam selection for our cars and they have video clips of W-bodies with the different cams in them, and explain the specs.

A lady I know has a 99 firebird with the Intense stage 1 cam, and it sounds GOOD. Nice and lopey, and you can diffinitely tell the car has a cam in it from the inside. It rocks the car a bit.

            Some random thoughts:

            You'd still buy from Intense???
            Stay far away from them!

Why do so many people always type "CAM"? It's not like it's an abbreviation.

Don't buy a certain cam just because someone here tells you to. Read up on them and choose one yourself. If you don't know what all those numbers mean, then you don't need a cam.

If you install it yourself, a cam swap will run about $1000 by the time you're done. Not counting supporting stuff like a tuner, etc.

get some used ls1 valves and have the intake valves reground to 1.89in then put a 5 angle valve job on them and you will flow a lot better

i just did the grinding of the ls1 intake valves today and they will fit nicely, but if you really want to go wild you can leave the intake valves at 2in and they will still have clearance but not enough for comfort

also the ls1 exhaust valves are just a tad bigger than the 3.8 but they will help the overall flow of the head

as far as a cam i would go with the gt2 just because you are staying N/A but deffinately get some ls1 valves because they are cheap

sorry for being off topic...96firebirdgt...i was looking at your future mods...I don't think you'll want to get the GT cam from zzperformance if you're running a powerdyne. It's more of an N/A came with the tight LSA. Look more into their VS came, or maybe a cam with a little more, like a 210/220 with a 114 or 115 LSA. It will bring out the full potential of that supercharger.
