EEPROM or Flash on older PCM's?

Ok, I saw a post by Magnus in another section where he stated the OBDII PCM's were Flash memory instead of EEPROM.

Are the older OBDI PCM's such as those on '94 models also Flash memory?

I'm not planning anything (yet), I just want to satisfy my curiosity.
