Look, I have had the guts to post about my problem in detail in this thread, so I'd appreciate it not to be ****ing insulted and talked to like a child as AZ Camaro did. I'm 22 years old not 12....

Ya, 210 might be normal after a lot of driving then sitting in traffic, but not after driving the car lightly for 15 minutes I don't care what you say. Obviously I'm not the only one thinks this... Rally Red said "check your coolant level for one... dex is kind of weird especially when you first put it in. the car CAN get up to 210, but like you, my car never rose above 180-190 until recently... and there were only 2 gallons of coolant in it."

Just because I'm not mechanically inclined in WORKING on cars , doesn't mean I don't know quite a bit about them. And for the LOW SPEED fans to come on at 227 or whatever...is ****ty engineering. That's too damn high. Why the **** do you think they switched from a 195 degree thermo in 93-98 to a 180 degree in 1999? MAYBE BECASUE THEY REALIZED THAT THESE CARS WERE RUNNING TOO HOT? Do you have a better explanation Einstein?

Hey? Guess what? Its me! The other guy who said you should watch your temps!

The guys above you are right. Try this one: Your temp guage has a range on it. That range ends in a red area. That red area stands for a temp that is too high. The range on that guage is what the people who made the car see as the range the car should be running in. If you'd look, you'd see that 210 falls kind of in the middle of that range and NOT in the red area. 210 is just fine. Who are you to say that the fans coming on at the temps they do is too high? They don't just crank these cars out at the drop of a hat. Research is done, they didn't just go "Uhhhhh. 218 sounds like a nice round number for the fans." If you don't like it put in a fan switch.

As for people posting in "your" thread, before you shoot your mouth off telling the *group* (I note that, as its more than one person telling you that you are wrong) that they are wrong you should educate yourself a bit more.

</font>[/QUOTE]WTF is everyone's problem. Why the **** do you think that this car is rated worst on the resale list by consumer digest? Because of good engineering? lol..I think they really did just crank these cars out at the drop of a hat from my experience with all the **** that has gone wrong with my car. Personally..I have stood up for my car for a long time because I really do like it. It looks great and is fun to drive.

But this last thing with the cracked head and BHG at 86,000 miles really ticked me off. FOR THE LAST ****ING TIME I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY CAR. I always...ALWAYS make sure to change my oil every 3000..make sure the Coolant is good AND everytnhing else. I'm not as much of an idiot as you may think. That's why it's so disappointing for me becasue I take such good care of it.

Since I bought it in 2001 I've only put on average 3-4000 miles on it a year! Again DISTEPHANO....why must you talk to me like I'm a ****ing child? "210 is in the middle of the temp range" you said....You think I didn't ****ing know that? No, I'm sure you knew that I knew that...you're just trying to make me look like a dumb **** for no reason. Why do you even reply in the ****ing thread if you have nothing constructive to say? You just feel like jumping on the BASH camaroincal bandwagon huh?

Listen I don't want to argue ANYMORE. My car is good for now so screw this thread I don't want anything to do with it. It can be locked for all I care. No hard feelings to anyone I was arguing with. We all have our opinions and as I said I'm not in the best frame of mind at the moment. Sorry If I offended anyone.

Then stop making personal attacks. I just told you like it is. I want to see you stop crying and worrying about the coolant temp.

What I told you was correct. I didn't act like a child, I acted like a parent, telling a kid to suck it up.

Again, you have your facts wrongs.... the 4th gen (93-02) V6 has always had a 195ºF thermostat.

I'm sorry if you don't appreciate the constructive critism you have been receiving, but when you argue with the facts you are bound to be corrected. We don't need someone posting false facts on the board and a newbie doing a search to find a thread full of false information.

And for the LOW SPEED fans to come on at 227 or whatever...is ****ty engineering.

It would be appreciated by many if you would eliminate using such language in the forums.

How about they have a bad rating because its a sports car!! they wern't made for great reliability or great gas millage, and god knows that the ride is rought as all hell and anymore that two people in the car is a PITA. they were built for a fun badazz handling affordable sports car as an alternitive to the Vette. so ya it has a bad rating, its not exactly an "economical" car, thats why its no longer around.

So 400,000 km = 250,000 miles...damn that's a lot lot of miles. But I was thinking, Canada is MUCH cooler than Cali so right there is a big advantage to the longeveity of these cars in such a climate.
