Did you look at my cardomain site?

I have not been impressed with my engine thus far. I think I just need to tune it more extensively. I probably need a bigger cam.

After taking the wrong road, I wish I had done a turbo setup. I wanted to make a fast NA car, but the 3800 just isn't all there without boost. Remember the Buick GN.

the 10's with an NA 3800? keep dreaming.

IMHO you're waiting your time by upping compression on the 3.8 to go "fast".

I didn't want to be rude, but I was thinking the same thing.

High compression doesn't do much on the 3800. My car is proof of that. May the rest of the board use me as an example of what not to do.

Agreed. There are people on here with power adders not even close to 10's, heck the record is 11.8. The only 3.8's to go 10's at this point are Buicks and Turbo T/A's all running the LC2 engine, and the intense Turbo Grand Prix using a modified L67. No L36 has even gotten close.

I have the comp 200/206 duration cam. For stock head ports, I would recomend the GT2 from ZZP. It is bigger than mine and seppo runs 13's with it and a couple other nickel mods.
Correction Seppo runs the Original GT cam 210/210 .507/.507 111 lsa 107 ic not the GT2 cam 216/216 .507/.507 111 lsa 107 ic. Just a minor bit of misinformation corrected..

well if you guys think its impossible. then i guess it is but you know i dont think so. but then again i dont know any one who bas high compresion. except this one kid running 12:1 in his acura and really thats all i wanna beat. so i figure with all this done to my engine i'll be laughing at him after he gets off the line

ohh and i do plan on getting like stage 2 heads and the super six intake. and if i can get the money an aluminum block, and an awsome cam. then a double roller, and 130 springs, the ross domed pistons, the manley rods, all the clevite bearings, the one piece pushrods, titanium retainers, and then having the whole thing bluprinted and blanced. what ratio rockers should i get?

There is no Aluminum block for the L36 only the LC2 has that, and it's a completely different engine. Sorry dude.

Positive, if they did I would have bought one instead of a Junkyard engine when my old engine blew up. By the way what's a slepper? Do you mean sleeper?..

If you want suggestions. I'd say talk to Scott at Intense or Chris (GTPPrix on this board) They know tons about these engines. I would suggest you have the block competition honed and the balance shaft removed, like the Intense race ready shortblock. Have your internals balanced 50%and get a good Nitrous cam. Run 10.0:1 compression get HP Tuners Suite and dyno tune it for Nitrous. Run a 150-200hp direct port shot. You'd probably see solid 11's with good supporting mods ie suspension, and a 12 bolt.
