CompCam 3.8 cam cores are on back order!

this sucks! I call to order my cam and they tell me the core for the 3.8 cam is on backorder and has been for a while. Told me to check back every week or so and he gamme the part number to the core. :mad:

Are you happy with your mods? I am going to get similar ones. Only im thinking either a cam/head combo or nitrous/cam combo, also sorry to hear about the backorder, those things suck.

Com Cams is having a hard time with the new steel tariffs on European steel. Their profit margin dropped, but they can't adjust the prices as fast because of mail order magazines.

That sucks man. I remember last year I waited months and months before comp finally got cores in. Seems they run out of the 3.8 cores fast. You can pre order a cam though and they will grind it when they get cores. That way your not waiting around and trying to call them all the time. Comp isnt very easy to get ahold of. Thats what I would do if I were you.

Thats exactly what made me make up my mind when I called them last week to order a cam. I was debating between a custom grind and the GT cam from ZZP and got the GT cam It arrived yesterday and I didn't feel like waiting!!

i belive what happends some of the time is that one of the companies that sells after market parts for our cars and for gt', gtp's and the rest of the 3.8's buy up all the cores comp has and it takes awhile for them to get more. This has happend in the past from what i read on clubgp before
