    3.4 Harmonic Balancer Re-install Q's

    I am just about ready to start re assembling my 3.4, and was wondering about how to properly re-install the harmonic balancer.

    1. I beleive that it has a notch to line it up on the crank, correct?

    2. Do you need a timing light like my mechanic said to get the timing correct?

    3. Any tips or advice that you can share are more than welcome.

      It doesn't really matter, 3.4 balancers have a notch sticking out, and the crank has an indent so they can only go in the direction they were taken out
      I marked mine w/ chalk. :shrugs:

        It will only go on one way. You won't have to worry about timing it because we do not have distributors.
