I have the SLP 1.8 rockers and I got some titanium retainers. My camaro has 115k miles, so I'm going to change valve springs too. Should I just get some new stock springs or use higher rate springs? I was looking at spring rates of 85#, 105#, and 130#. Does anybody know how the different rates will effect performance.
The new rockers increase valve lift from .400/.408 to .450/.459.
As soon as I figure out wich springs to use, I will have the rockers installed.
Since you have 115k I would change springs. But no need go to extra heavy springs. Replacement stock springs or stock LS1 springs will work great.

i plan on gettin the slp rockers in about 2 weeks, are any of the supplemental parts (tit. springs, retainers, etc.) necessary, or worth the money?? my car has 75k miles and i only want to buy the supplemental parts if they will provide a significant power gain, or significantly increase the reliability of the new parts.
please give your opinions.

No gain in power buy changing springs and retainers.

I was going to go with the LS1 springs but speaking to many LS1 people they commonly upgrade to Ls6 springs.
I'm going to try LS6 springs and see what happens
