  • Cam Suggestion

Ok, im new here, and ive had my camaro for about maybe half a year, and ive decided to keep it and tune it instead of going to a v8 camaro. I am looking at the SLP 1.8 roller rockers, and i think im going to order them. What would be the best cam to install for them? i may spray later on in the year when i get the money to buy nitrious. I am ordering the SLP loud mouth exhaust, and i have the free ram air mod, and removed MAF screen if that helps any.

i used to have a 68 camaro, built into a drag car, and it had a huge cam, and a big lope, so it would idle really slow and bounce the car. is there anyway to make my v6 idle slow kinda like that with a cam?

if you want it to sound like a cammed 68 camaro, record your 68 and play it when you drive down the road.

If you want a cam, don't get those rocker arms. They would have way too much lift at the valves with most cams. Stick with the stock rockers and get a good nitrous cam.

            rockers only give more lift

cam will make the car sound change because you can use different lobes and such

That's my favorite grind for the 3800 engine.. ;) However it would require serious headwork and major tuning, possibly even a dyno tune to get optimal horsepower.
