Hey StudlyCamaro, I live in Carterville, Il. Next time I'm in Carbondale, maybe I'll see you around. Back on the topic of the Samurai, have you started your swap yet or are you just thinking about it. I've got a friend that is going to take his 3.1 and tranny out of his Firebird to put in his tired old Samurai. I'll take any info that you can find as well.
also, going from what I've done w/the 3800 swap, as ong as you can mount the engine up, just apply 12v+ power to ALL the correct wiring, and it's just golden.

THe holy book haynes, this web site tech, and magnus's sight have good wiring refrences. I used the for the 3800 swap, but the 95 years are a bastage year, they have charachteristics of both the 3.4 & 96+ wiring. Basically, if you have all the wiring hoarnesses, just add power.

haha....the funniest thing about this post is i almost actually did this with A 91 Geo Tracker which is the same vehicle basically...and then was gonna put an LS1 in my bird.......oh and if u plan on keeping a 4x4 have fun making this work if u dont plan on changing the axles...check out where ur front differential is and make sure its on the passenger side and not the driverside if it is you will have no luck finding a transmission that will work, unless ur fab suave and can some how make ur 3.4 bolt up to the original tranny
