im tired of these imports beatin my a$$! i feel like ive got the slowest f-body out there. 1.) its a 6. 2.) its a vert. i still have trouble beatin civics and preludes. i hate it. i thought about gettin a supercharger, but thought a swap would be the way to go. this probably belongs in the lounge of something, but the reason for the post is pricing. i wanted to know if the pricing i have is a reasonable amount for an actual swap to an ls1. i called a shop that worked on my uncles mustang, and the guy said that he would get an ls1, tranny, and exhaust with install for $7700. all used parts and components, so i wanted to know if its a good buy or not. another reason for wanting an ls1 is that my insurance would still charge me the v6 premium. so i could have the performance of a z28 for the cost of a 3800. any reply is appreciated.

Yeah the swap is A LOT of work.... you'll need all the motor/tranny stuff, then a new rear end later down the road when you destroy yours.
