  • GT 1 cam or GT 2 cam

    i am deciding on which cam would be best for me, my car is stock, but im plannin exhaust and such soon. I want the GT1 cam or the GT2 cam because everything i have heard was good about them. Which one would give me more torque and a nice lobey idle. and which one would set off the pcm codes?

    also if i buy this, i might buy the 105 ls1 springs and titanium retainers, do i need new pushrods with that setup?

      both have lopey idle and high torque. GT2 will require more extensive tuning to realize the its potential. look at the intense stage 1x for something between the two of them.

      that being said, i have to say: ssssssssssssssssearch; i can't think of how many times this question has been asked and i have given the exact same answer.

      just buy used LS1 or LS6 springs and retainers. it's never a bad idea to get new pushrods and lifters... would be a shame to have either go down after you've already had the motor 3/4 of the way apart.

          on the gt2 i gained 20rwhp on a stock a4 car. now i have a lid, catback, and a 3200 stall. works better now. gt2 will set off ses light for sure and you will need pushrods, vs, and retainers.
