I know - Hypertech and stuff is usually not for advanced tech. But nowhere else I could get an answer:
For quite a while I tried to investigate why European V6 Camaros are rated only 193 hp instead of 200 hp as in the US.
Untill now I know of two differences:
1. The Camaros deliverd to Europe have got different mufflers (RPO VP6 - noise level control)
2. Euro-Camaros have got a different part number for the PCM. The relevant RPO is NA7 - emission system european.
Does anybody have facts on how the Euro- and the US PCMs differ? Is it only different programming or a different hardware? And would a Hypertech programmer work on an Euro-PCM?
