CompCams recomended 206/212 112 cam.
What kind of gains can I see from this mod? They also recommended changing lifters. Anything else I should change?
I dont think you will have to change lifters. You will probly have to change valve springs because the increased duration and lift. Compcam's recomends this cam to everyone. But I dont know anybody that uses it. There's not alot of Camed 3.8's yet. We are still experimenting trying to find the perfect cam.
If it were a 3.4 yea I would change them. But on a 3.8 you dont need too. 3.4's lifter's wear to the cam. So if you swap the cam you should change the lifter. But in a 3.8 they are hydraulic roller so they dont wear to the cam like the old 3.4's.
I have that cam and I changed my lifters but I do have a 3.4. There were really noticable gains but Im not sure what exactly they are. Although I can say I am very happy with my cam.

If I'm taht far into the engine and as much as I have to take off to get tot he CAM I'm replacing lifters whether they are 4 months old or 4 years old. That's just me. New CAM, new lifters. Like I said, they are only about $45.00 for the set and most kits come with them.
