I have P&P my own intake manifolds. I did this with a dremel. I thought I had cleaned the intakes really good but now I have found otherwise. There is alot of metal shavings very very small kinda more like metal dust at the top of the upper intake. I started my car and pulled it back apart. Ran it for maybe a couple min. Is there any chance this metal could have made its way all the way down the engine? If so what would happen.
I did find a little of this on the lower intake. What if it made its way through the head and through the valves? Im kinda scared.
I was just paranoid I guess. My mechanic looked at it and said its fine. He said theres a little bit on the intake manifold but nothing touched the heads.
Open up the pcv valve, when all my port work was done I went to change it and found metal shavings in there.
I cleaned it out and replaced it.
Just trying to help
