I went to Stone performance today to see what he could do with my car. The guy told me for 800 dollars( me taking the engine out and bringin it to him) he would bore, polish, high compressin pistions, cam, and beef up any heads i wanan put on there. He garunteed me that id would run 8 secs or less in the 1/8 with everything else stock other than the motor. The only thing he said that was the stock computer wouldnt be abble to deal with the motor. Has anyone else heard of that or is he wantin more money.

Do you have to supply him with parts? If not, there's no way he can do it for that cheap. You'll pay around $800 for the cam + accessories alone, plus another grand for the heads.
If you have to bring him the parts, that seems a little expensive for having already removed the motor.
There's no need for a new bottom end if you want to run 8s in the 1/8. That's only about a 14 flat in the 1/4.Matt

question, why is your goal so low. why not go for something like a 12 second 1/4 mile? i think spending all that money is nuts for that time. why not just spending like 500 bucks total and get nitrous. that will give you better results.
i have alot of the mods that you want to get done. and you HAVE to know that you are going to need a GOOD tuning after that. and gas, omg gas. i only get 12 miles to a gallon if i'm easy on my car. my car is my daily driver and if i could do it over agian i wouldn't have done all those mods till i had a beater. but that is just me.
i would say pick out the best time that you want your car to do in the long run, 12 second 1/4 mile what ever. and start to build up to that slow. let your car learn it mods so you can get the most out of them.

I get 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. It is all in the tuning. I also get on it about once a day while driving.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

After $500 you will need to add more money for the head job you will need after you blow a head gaskethttp://www.cardomain.com/profile/blackfbird_98

Its a fluke. Theres no way you can do all that for only $800. Even if that is just the labor.Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98
