No brake lines were disconnected. Support the K-member from the bottom. The car was raised first, then the supported K was dropped, but not all the way out of the car, just enough for clearance. The radiator was removed, AC parts were taken off the brackets and moved out of the way so they weren't even disconnected. So was the power steering. The engine literally went in whole and then everything was hooked back up.
