I have heard of two multec2 styles...one is 'mini' so i am guessing the other would be standard. I forget which one we have. but...since our 2000+ are longer than previous year Bosch is will assume we don't have mini multec2.

That is correct. Go to the link I posted above and look up the first part number I posted. Those are the minis and are the higher flow rate. The second part number is our injectors. The pictures show the difference very well.
yea, i can see myself settling on those FJ10471 (mini) injectors. not having to splice in new connectors would be nice. shortening the fuel rail seems like not that big of a deal. (it has to come off anyway to get to the injectors) they are a pretty good size to at 37 lbs. not too big and not too small. hopefully idle is not a problem...i doubt it though as it seems like 50+ lbs injectors are where the idle problems really start. (not a scientist...just reading on topic)
I tried twice to get a price or a point of sale for those injectors....it took a long time to get nowhere. trying again now.

I have been really busy so i have not had a chance to call back. Someone give it a try. Call the customer service and tell them you have a techincal question about injectors. After about 4 people you will be to the right department (heck, ask for Chuck and you might get the same guy). Give them the part number of our injector and ask if there is a direct replacment in the 30-36# range. If you could leave the fuel rail stock, it would be much easier to de-mod some day.
Still nothing else available except the shorter FJ14071.
Chuck said there are many more higher flow multec 2 style injectors coming soon. They have been produced, he just didn't know when they are going to be released, and had no specific details on flow, etc.
If anyone is going to call tech, hit 1,1,5,2 through the prompts to get to the right person.
