i have never tried it so forgive me but could you use an air ratchet? </font>[/QUOTE]can fit sockets on the second (inner) nut. too tight of a fit between the engine and firewall. It is a 'double nut' on automatics because that bolt goes into block...has a spacer(hex head nut) and then the tranny dipstick tube goes on that and then another hex head nut.
you can get the valve cover off if you remove the outer bracket bolt and then bend the bracket. the metal is pretty soft. once it is out of the way you can reach the rear valve cover bolt. to get the outer bolt I had to get the car up in the air and attack the outer bolt/nut with two pairs of gloves (hand padding) and an open end wrench. once the nut broke free i used a ratchet style box wrench. to get the inner bolt loose I got one hand behind the intake manifold and my left hand from the passenger side of engine...sorta push/pull at same time.
this is a guide for removing the bracket...i know...not much of a guide...
