We designed that cam for a customer that had ported and polished heads. If you have not had port work done, I would not suggest that cam.

Remember, bigger is not always better.

      Hey Josh,

Im gettin real close to ordering myself a cam. Im still stuck between the 2 lunati cams (the 06312 and 30000) As far as the motor goes, it is all stock. When i tear it apart to install the cam, i plan on porting the upper and lower intakes, and I already have the TB ported to match the intake. I dont think I will port the heads, mainly because i dont trust myself to do it, and dont have the money to have supersix do it. So would it be my best choice to go with the smaller Lunati cam (195/205, .405/.427) with the 1.6 roller rockers? Or would i be happier with the bigger one, the one you have in your car,(228/228. .465/.465) except with a 112 LSA? (this would also be with a 1.6 rocker). I want to get the biggest cam that my setup will allow.
Mods are: CAI, flowmaster catback, p&p TB, NOS 5175 75 shot. Id appreciate your input on this, as like i said, im ready to get going on this as soon as possible. Thanks alot.

you'd defanitly want the smaller one if your not porting your heads, and headers if ya don't have them, the stock exhaust manifolds on the 3.4 are very restictive

I agree with Wolf (as usual)...a large cam in a setup that doesn't flow very much air will not be a good idea. You should consider a "shelf" cam from Lunati or Comp for now. The cam that I put in for my setup is perfect for what I am doing, but I also have the P&P heads and intakes as well as headers and the modified upper intake manifold. My engine can push a lot more air than yours at this point so the cam works for me, but I don't think it will be a hot idea in yours.

alright thanks josh, i appreciate the info. Im gonna go with the street lunati, along with 1.6 roller rockers. I am also replacing the valve springs while im at it. Hoopefully i can eventually latch onto some ported heads, and hopefully move up to a bigger cam.

Don't forget that you will need new lifters with the new cam.
