I've read several times upgraded injectors doesn't help unless you're maxing out your current injectors. In order to do that, you need some kind of power adder.

You may run richer at idle, especially when the engine is cold and it's not monitoring o2 sensors yet. You can adapt for some of that with a maft.

Part-throttle and wot should be ok.

What size are the injectors? 24's?

              Stock are 21-22. 24's are 10% bigger.

If your ltrim is -5% now, it will max out at -15% when it has to account for the 10% bigger injector. (or maybe it will trim as far as -20%, I don't remember the limit for sure, but even -15% is too much)

A maft will let you pull that back to -5% and still have some pcm adjustment left to account for temperature/air-density changes.

Yeah, if you're going to spend $ on different injectors, might as well get the ones you're going to need. As long as you can tune for them. James (12sec) says he blew a nitrous engine on 24's untuned...

he blew his engine while using nitrous with the 24's or without the nitrous?

i NEED NEW INJECTORS BAD!! before the end of this month.

without tuning, or power adder... will it be safe to have these?

I was under the impression it was while spraying, but I don't know for sure.

You can run them, just be aware that the idle will be rich, and you may eventually foul the plugs if you are doing mostly stop and go driving. It would be best if you could monitor the o2's and see where you stand with them.

it will run rich on cold start up, other then that the pcm corrects the injectors pulses so its fine.

What aftermarket injectors are you running Tiago?

Side note: Will LS1 injectors work the same as the LT1's? I came across a friend who wants to upgrade the injectors on his LS1, and if they are worth anything for me on the bottle, I can get them pretty cheap! Anything required to make them work? Any splicing harnesses or anything?

on a 3.8 I think the harness is different.
