    Yeah i just took out my piston and now im trying to take out my main bearings but for some reason there stuck to the thing i have tryed everything......... does anyone know a tip to get them out

    Well first off I hope you marked your main caps so you can put them on how they were before you touched them.
    For main caps a punch or a hammer but dont ding the block or you will have to file it down.

      I haven't had much luck trying to pull them out.

      But....

      If you push one side down, then the other side will come up. Then it's easy to get them out. Usually just pushing down with your thumbs will get it started. Just push the side down that doesn't have the indentation in it....

        its depends on the block some main caps have numbers that counts down

          well it turns out i spun a main bearing there is only a little bit of grind on te crank hardly noticable does any 1 know how much it cost to get a block flushed to check for crack in blocks and also any body have a block for sale that would fit a 1999 firebird 3.8 thanks
