• HP Tuners Users Come In

I've received my HP Tuners software and I wanted to know who also received, bought, or will be getting the V6 software so we can share information on tuning and other issues pertaining to the software.

Thanks again Keith for making this software.

I got a tune through TSP and will probably be purchasing the software either in the Fall or next Spring.
Until then, I guess Im not much help.

I received my software and will be tuning this weekend.

I have a 96, but had installed a 97 PCM sometime back.

I will update later this weekend!

Eh, I'm also getting mine tuned by TSP, I'll let you guys know how different the car feels tomorrow once I get my PCM back I might buy the software eventually but $499 is no drop in the bucket for something I'm not even sure I'll be able to use very well!

I got mine in yesterday, but had to wait because it my File OS wasn't supported....Keith got me taken care of today.....Those guys rock.

I can't change my speedo for some reason, but I let him know, and figure that will be taken care of.

I'm happy already, though. Took care of torque management, adjusted my PE points, and a couple other odds and ends.

If anybody starts playing with the timing, let us know how it goes.

I got my programer and I had to buy a USB adapter for it and I tried the scan tool on my friend's cavalier and it worked great. But since my car is in the shop I can't see if the editor and flash will work through this. You guys think that there would be any interference problems? BTW, The USB-Serial adapter is a radio shack product.

There shouldn't be any problem. We use a laptop to do our tuning, and have to run an adapter. As long as it doesn't get disconnected, you should be fine!

Sounds good to me. Thanks all of you for the quick responces. I hope pretty soon we can start to share some tuning info and figure out just what this program is fully capable of.

Just got my PCM back from TSP. I can feel a difference in the shifting, the car seems to respond better and overall, it feels quicker.
I have no idea if its in my head or not, i will just have to wait till i go to the track and see.

I ordered mine yesterday...I would like to change timing and other advanced things eveentually..but the real reason I needed it was for the speedo and (I think) torque management was REALLY kicking my A$$.

we should start a database of the "perfect tunes" with the different mods. or at least some general guidelines. Like "if you have (instert mod) you should (instert pcm config)."

MrCoffee, thats a great idea, I know I will be one of the first users, I have no idea how to use the software. I should be ordering mine after I get back from vacation.
