  • Comp sent me the wrong CAM!!!!

    SO After taking my cam to my mechanics house he was matching it up to the stock cam and noticed the comp cam is about 2 inches longer and a few other differences. Turns out Compcams gave me the Camshaft for the old Buick Odd fire V6 motors. I need one for the new Even fire V6. I am now very frustrated with CompCams for not giving me what I ordered. I am trying to streightin this out today and waiting for a call from comp. This is very very frustrating.

    DOH, I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.

    So I guess they are out of cores?

        Theres a place locally here that my mechanic is calling about a regrind. This would be the fastest way. He says his friend has a 2k1 Firebird V6 that runs a 12.40 he lives in Arizona, anyone ever heard of this guy? My mechanic is calling him to see what cam he has in that car.

        I will probly order through Tom, I need a cam ASAP.

        Comp wants me to wait 4 weeks for there new cores. F THAT!
