  • TB PCV bypass and coolant bypass

i understand there are 2 different mods for tb pcv bypass.
the one where you plug up the pcv inside the tb (before the butterfly plate) and you drill vent holes on the outside of TB. would this be good to do if i was NA? just looking for cooler intake temps.

the coolant bypass ("gobs of goo") where you plug up your coolant channel(on back of TB where it plugs into upper intake manifold) with RTV.
is this a good mod to keep hot air out too?
    i heard it was lame?
    thnx for advice!

the pcv bypass is up to you. IMO not needed for na.

blocking the coolant channel is not air...it blocks hot enging coolant from circulating in the tb. it is not as good as a TB spacer and may not be worth the $5 for the gasket.

I blocked the coolant channel when i had the TB off for PCV bypass (SC mod) for the sake of it. Live in seattle...no problems in winter.
