Instead of going with the Comp 2030 cam, how about getting flow numbers on the heads and then pick a cam from there. You will get a cam that is more powerful and can be made for the specs of your engine.

Ryan what type of pistons did you go with.... and wolf you have the 3.4 DOHC pistons in your car right? I am about to start my rebuild and i was wondering what hyperutectic piston choice i had and if the DOHC ones work well... I have Southern94's heads (Matt's) and upper and lowers by the way GREAT SELLER and a great guy . Well thanks in advance and i will check on this thread tonight.
Thanks guys,

My mechanic told me 3 kinds of pistons I could use and they were....

Stock 3.4 pistons

hypereutectic pistons

Forged pistons (Ross racing ,ect.)

I chose the hypereutectic pistons because they were in my price range and I could raise the compression to 10 to 1.

those hypereutectic 3.4 dohc pistons kick butt!
they come with with teflon coated skirts(that reduse friction) and rase your compression to about 10 to 1, and you can get them with standard size rings or thin rings, and the thin ones will reduce friction even more, especally with chromolly rings

Are the hypereutectic pistons I have the same pistons as the 3.4 dohc pistons you have?Or are they totally diffrent?
