My friend is looking for a power programmer for his car , but can't find it for his car. He has a 97 camaro. Does anyone have an idea of where to find one???

They don't make power programmers for the '96-'97 3.8s. I know I know I wish they did too. We have to get our PCMs reflashed by places that do custom work I guess. It looks pretty costly.

FWIW, a MAFT is not the same thing as a programmer. A programmer, such as ones by Hypertech, modify the program in the car's computer. Gear ratios, speed limiters, and timing all can be changed. With a MAFT, however, you can only adjust the air/fuel ratio by sending a different signal to the computer from the MAF. A MAFT+ allows you to also adjust the timing.

If I'm wrong on any of the MAFT stuff, please correct me...never used one before, but I think I got it all right. ;)

The only power programmers are for 00-02 V6's.
