Anything you can dig up in regards to info on this engine, i.e., sizes, manufacturing, makers, oem and aftermarket manufacturers, etc. Nothing much :D .
We have lots of "I think", and " I heard", and not enough hard data. I'm not picking on anybody here, it's just been bloody hard to find any hard info on this engine. GM doesn't seem to want to publish anything on it, beyond what's on their powertrain site, and nobody else seems to really care to dig into it.

I was looking at the Intense lightweight pushrods and maybe the hydraulic roller lifters. Whats your opinon? Also do I have to replace or should I replace the valve springs?

not trying to rob anyone of business, but i was browsing www.supersixmotorsports.com, and they have a forged rod/piston combo for $1050. Im considering rebuilding my 3.8 for a turbo application of some sort- just exploring the options.

BTW- Isnt the GTP crank forged? If so, shouldn't it work in our motors- might sound stupid.

I don't know if there is any truth to that rumor. It was thought that L67 rods were forged, but it turns out they aren't. But they should fit in our motors.

You could get a set of these forged rods and get some Intense pistons for like $800 or so.

are they completely forged, even at both ends of the rod? and for the pistons, can you order dish top or whatever you need?

if so, the cheaper the better lol.
