I ve posted up before bout my car dieing adn now they say theres oil in the antifreeze adn then spark plugs and wieres need to be chagned adn that the ignition coil is also bad but i was wondering if theres anyway to tell if the front seal is bad or if its the headgasket thanks

K... this can be here however, you really need to rename the topic to something descriptive, like.. Oil in antifreeze, what do I do?

    What you do..

Chances are you have a bad head gasket, so here's the fix.

    don't run the car anymore.
Make sure your OIL is ok.
    Drain all the fluids.
    Replace head gaskets.
    Use new fluids.

    Then go from there.

If your oil is milky, then your block will be on its way out as well.

plugs/wires/coil packs won't put oil into your antifreeze.

You sure oil is in the coolant? whats your radiator fluid look like (not your over flow tank).

It shouldn't cost "4Gs" for new headgaskets.

I think you need a new mechanic! :D

It is a lot of labor. But thats rediculous.
An experienced shop could do it in a day probably. Maybe 10 hours.
If they charged even $500 for it, thats $50 an hour... Maybe I need to open up shop!
You could do it yourself if you have a decent knowledge of cars....

Hell head gaskets are nothing i have changed mine 6 times and i only have 42000 miles on the car. The gaskets are 22 dollars a piece you can buy a kit from gm for like 66 that has head gaskets, upper and lower intka gaskets and valve cover gaskets then you would just have to do the work yourself but isnt hard esspecially if you have a Hanyes book. I can give you the part number for that gasket kit if you need it

dmn, my engine swap cost less than that, but then I did the work myself.

Do you have auto of stick? If auto, it could also be tranny fluid.

about the coolant in the anti freeze. I had a 92 Bonnie, it got that leak. The radiator checked out under pressure test in tranny shop, but since the radiator is plastic when it would heat up the fluids would mix. bottom line new tranny cooler to bypass the radiator & tranny rebuild @ 1800 (fwd remember) clutch paks crapped out & tcc rusted up.
